It was but a non-conference game on a chilly, blustery night in February but it was a meeting between two old rivals and it was wrapped in all the drama college athletics brings.
New Mexico State led UTEP 8-5 in the bottom of the seventh. There were two outs ... one shy of victory.
But UTEP had the bases loaded, one good swing away from tying this border rivalry.
