A Week 4 change of coordinators is obviously a sign of desperation, and, just as obviously, that's where the 0-3 UTEP football team is as it prepares for its rivalry game with New Mexico State.
Brian Natkin ran his first practice Tuesday as the newly minted offensive coordinator. And while the material he is working with is the same group that ranks 128th out of 129 teams in total offense, there is hope that change can bring new results.
How different the UTEP offense will look and how the play calling will change are not things Natkin or coach Sean Kugler will telegraph.
