UTEP gets ready for Nevada Bret Bloomquist, Wochit
The UTEP football team showed it has made enormous strides for an inspired three quarters against Nevada on Saturday night.
In the fourth quarter of a 37-21 loss in front of 10,493 fans, the Miners' 25th in the last 27 games, the Wolf Pack showed them how they still have a ways to go.
UTEP battled into a 21-21 tie after an epic 17-play (15 runs) drive that took 9 minutes, 59 seconds off the third-quarter clock (the longest drive in five years), but ran out of gas and answers in the final 20 minutes as they went to 1-2 heading into Conference USA play.
