A basketball season is a climb — one step, one game at a time.
UTEP's Miners have dug themselves an early season hole but they hope to begin that climb toward a solid season Saturday night when Northern Arizona visits the Don Haskins Center for a 7 p.m. hoops date.
Northern Arizona is 2-9 and has lost four straight. The Miners are 2-6 and have lost five straight. One of these teams will get the unwanted weight of a losing streak off its back.
"Northern Arizona has had their struggles and we have certainly had ours," UTEP coach Tim Floyd said.
