The UTEP women’s basketball (13-7, 5-5 Conference USA) secured a win against the University of North Texas (8-10, 2-6 C-USA) on Thursday, Feb. 3 at the Don Haskins Center with a final score of 75-62.
At around six minutes into the game, the Miners came out hot with a 9-0 run then followed later with an 8-0 run to respond to a 5-0 run by North Texas, making the score 17-5.
In the second quarter it was all North Texas as junior point guard Jazion Jackson finished with a team-high 10 points, two assists and a rebound.
