The Miners keep winning and the games keep getting bigger.
UTEP will take on Louisiana Tech at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Don Haskins Center, a matchup between a pair of teams jostling for top positions in Conference USA. UTEP, after a disaster-movie beginning, is now 8-14 overall and, most importantly, 6-4 in conference play. Louisiana Tech is 16-8 overall, 8-3 in league play. Louisiana Tech sits alone in second place in the conference standings, marking the fourth straight team UTEP has played that was in either first or second place: Marshall, tied for second; UAB, second place; Middle Tennessee, first place; and now Louisiana Tech.
