The undefeated UTEP women's basketball team picked up two points in the Associated Press Top 25 poll, putting them tied for 36th.
Specifically, Rick Cantu of the Austin American-Statesmen voted the 8-0 Miners 24th. There are 38 teams receiving votes.
UTEP plays at 7-3 Long Beach State Friday, their first game outside of the El Paso-Las Cruces area.
