UTEP has played its way from a season of futility into a season with hope, with very real possibilities.
Saturday night is a big second step toward that hope, those possibilities. The Miners take on Rice at Tudor Fieldhouse in Houston, a game between opposites and a game between two teams in a four way tie for third place in Conference USA.
UTEP scrambled from behind to take a 77-71 overtime victory against North Texas Thursday night in Denton. Rice defeated UTSA 80-68 Thursday in Houston. This will be UTEP's second in a crucial four game road swing that could decide its fate.
