UTEP has quietly been going through the October grind.
The Miners have been working and sweating for almost three weeks now, trying to fit the pieces together that will form a good basketball team in November and beyond.
Saturday the Miners will get to shift into game conditions and Miner fans will get a look at the early product. UTEP has six returning players, six newcomers and, after getting some August work and a trip to Costa Rica, hopes are high.
The 12 Miners plus some walk-ons will be divided into two teams Saturday and they will get after it under game conditions at 5 p.
