At this point in fall, with UTEP's opening kickoff two weeks away, the most noticeable change for AJ Hotchkins and Ryan Metz is that they are no longer among the last players off the field.
In fact, the two graduate assistants are usually the first players jogging off after the team's practice-ending break, though that change gets back to the same motivation: They love working.
A season ago AJ Hotchkins was on his way to leading Conference USA in tackles as the graduate senior starting linebacker for the Miners.
