Louisiana Tech men hammer inconsistent Miners

When the UTEP men's basketball team is in one of its every-other-game fogs — missing 3-pointers, throwing the basketball away, not rebounding, playing indifferent defense — it can lose to any team in Conference USA.

The Miners were listless against Louisiana Tech on Saturday in a dismal 73-55 loss that continued the Miners' inconsistency.

A night after one of its most complete games of the year when it never trailed, UTEP meekly imploded in the Don Haskins Center, picking up two technical fouls and never leading while falling to 3-5 in C-USA play.

How it went

Coming off one of his best games of the year, Bryson Williams fouled out with eight points and seven field-goal attempts and no Miner other than Souley Boum, who was at times a one-man show, had more than four points until garbage time.
