With less than two weeks until its May 8 season opener, the El Paso Locomotive took a day off this past Tuesday, and while the occasion wasn't to celebrate, it could have been.
The team collectively went in to the El Paso Convention Center for their second COVID vaccine Monday after practice, then were given Tuesday to shake off any side effects, which were minimal for most.
The bottom line is the team cleared one more hurdle before the start of its season and that was a big relief for everyone.
"Honestly, it was a quick process, that's what I liked about it," midfielder Chapa Herrera said.
