Marco Canales and Javier Beker have much in common.
They are backup keepers for the El Paso Locomotive, they are from El Paso and they feel the same way about playing for their hometown team.
"This is a dream come true," said the 24-year-old Beker, a graduate of Santa Teresa High.
"It's a dream come true," said the 19-year-old Canales, a Cathedral alum.
Their paths to the Locomotive were different. Canales signed professionally with FC Juarez when he was 16 and last week was loaned to El Paso. Beker is in his third year as a practice player for the Locos and recently signed his first contract with the team.
