In one of the more surprising rosters moves of the young NFL season. Former UTEP quarterback Jameill Showers has been promoted to the Dallas Cowboys 53-man roster as a strong safety, and special teamer.

This is the first time Showers has been on the active roster this season, although he saw time last preseason on special teams, and worked at safety at times during camp.
