UTEP's recent bowl history isn't particularly kind.
The Miners' last bowl win was in 1967, the longest bowl-win drought in America. They've lost six consecutive bowls and haven't won one outside of El Paso.
UTEP's history against Fresno State, its opponent in Saturday's New Mexico Bowl, isn't kind either. The Bulldogs are 8-3-1 against the Miners, dating back to their mostly annual series as WAC opponents.
Fresno State from the Mountain West brings a 9-3 record, UTEP comes in at 7-5 after losing in four of its last five games.
That adds up to the Miners being an 11.
