The UTEP women's basketball team's magical ride ended in the most unlikely way imaginable Monday night.
Oregon came into the Don Haskins Center and shot the Miners right out of it. After making three of their first 19 shots and and falling behind by 18, the Ducks made 22 of their last 30 field goal attempts, went on a late 10-0 run and held on for a 71-67 victory in the WNIT semifinals.
Another great UTEP season ended at 29-5 after they lost their first home game of the year. Oregon (24-10) will play at South Dakota Wednesday night.
