Chapin's softball team's season has mostly been a triumphal march, but coach Kevin Mills knows it only gets harder as his team heads to the area round.
The 28-4 Huskies will take on Lubbock Cooper in Artesia, N.M. in a three-game series that begins Friday night with a berth in the Class 5A regional quarterfinals at stake.
"We saw them play this weekend, they're pretty solid," Mills said of Cooper, which swept Hereford in its bi-district playoff. "We'll have to hit the ball, I think both teams are going to hit the ball so it will come down to who makes the fewest mistakes.
