Treyvon Hughes gets his moment for UTEP Bret Bloomquist, El Paso Times
Treyvon Hughes' path to a breakout for the UTEP football team has been steeper than most and twistier than most, and a few headlines begin to speak of that tale.
A sampling:
From 2016: Trayvon Hughes out for the year with a knee injury
2017: From hunted to hunter: Hughes enjoys move to LB
2018: UTEP linebacker turned running back Trayvon Hughes impressing new coaches
2019: UTEP tailback battle heats up with absence of injured Quardraiz Wadley
Even that leaves out Hughes' two-week switch back to linebacker this spring, followed by a move back to running back that, after a 144-yard star turn against Houston Baptist in the opener, seems rather permanent.
