UTEP sophomore guard Katia Gallegos, a Franklin alum, was one of nine players picked to the preseason All-Conference USA team selected by league coaches and released Wednesday.
The Miners are picked to finish sixth in the 14-team league, which would be a one spot improvement from the team that finished seventh last season and won a C-USA tournament game before it was cancelled.
Gallegos led C-USA in assists last season at 5.1 a game, almost half an assist more than anyone else in the league.
Middle Tennessee was picked to win the league, followed by two-time C-USA defending champion Rice.
