Katia Gallegos is heading to Tulsa.
The former Franklin High and UTEP star, who entered the transfer portal earlier this month after three all-conference seasons at UTEP, announced her decision on Instagram Sunday evening by posting a picture of herself in a Tulsa No. 0 jersey with the headline “COMMITTED”.
Gallegos was the face and voice of the UTEP women’s basketball program the last three years, earning first-team All-Conference USA honors in 2021 and second-team honors this year. She was on the all-freshman team in 2020 a year after being named the El Paso Times high school player of the year for a second straight season.
