Kai Locksley has his NFL shot.
The former UTEP quarterback, who finished his UTEP eligibility in 2019, signed a free agent contract with the Miami Dolphins as a wide receiver.
A one-time four-star quarterback prospect, Locksley began his college career at the University of Texas, then transferred to Iowa Western Community College before coming to UTEP in 2018.
A starter for much of his UTEP career, he threw for 1,329 yards and rushed for 535 yards as a senior.
He didn't received any offers after his senior season but after a year out of competition, he gets his chance with the Dolphins.
