Former UTEP men's basketball player Julian Washburn has been added to the USA men's basketball team for their upcoming FIBA World Cup Qualifying games.
Washburn, who is currently playing for the Austin Spurs in the NBA G League, is averaging 34.6 minutes, 14.6 points, 5.2 rebounds per game. He is also shooting 40 percent from the field and 52 percent from 3-point range.
Team USA will play Argentina on Nov. 29 in La Rioja, Argentina, and Dec. 2 vs. Uruguay in Montevideo, Urguguay.
Washburn averaged 11.7 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.1 assists for UTEP during his four-year career.
