A former UTEP men's basketball player is playing in the NBA Summer League.
Forward Vince Hunter is with the Los Angeles Clippers team and is averaging 11.7 points and 6.7 boards in three games. He's made 13 of 17 from the field.
The NBA Summer League teams include recent draft picks, undrafted free agents and other players under the age of 25. It's a chance for rookies to be introduced into the league and for other young players to try to make a team.
Julyan Stone traded to Chicago Bulls
Meanwhile, former UTEP basketball player Julyan Stone was recently traded from the NBA's Charlotte Hornets to the Chicago Bulls but will likely be waived by the Bulls before August, according to multiple news reports.
