A standard line about junior college transfers is that schools who recruit them give up a year to get a year. They accept a junior season of transition for a senior year of conquest.
Jamaican sprinter Chevannie Hanson gave up his time back at Iowa Western, when he struggled through injuries and then the COVID shutdown. As soon as he arrived at UTEP, there was no indoor season because of COVID.
Hanson was done giving up time and and when this spring season started, he began making up for all that time he lost.
