FAU looking to turn elusive corner against UTEP

For one happy Saturday, everything was right with the Florida Atlantic football program.

Last week, playing another 1-7 team winless against FBS competition, Rice, FAU hung up a school record 657 yards, freshman tailback Devin Singletary rushed for 252 yards to break the school record of their greatest football alum, current Dallas Cowboy Alfred Morris, and the Owls from Boca Raton came away with a 42-25 victory.

It was the type of day FAU hasn't enjoyed often enough, one they will try to repeat at home Saturday evening against UTEP. .

"Honestly I'm just proud of the resilience of our players," Florida Atlantic's third-year coach Charlie Partridge said after he improved to 8-25 for his career.
