Burges' Tavorus Jones may be the best player in El Paso, but there was no way he could beat Andress as a one-man team.
Jones was as big as ever in a 35-34 victory, but Burges had a complete team effort that enabled the Mustangs to win a remarkable duel with the Eagles' do-everything superstar Malcoln Anderson.
That he shared the limelight after a 234-yard night begins to tell how special of a win this was for Burges.
How it happened
Burges led almost all night, but when Anderson scored his fourth touchdown of the second half on a 40-yard interception return, the Mustangs trailed 34-28.
