UTEP's road showdown with DePaul got away in a hurry.
The Miners played the first 15 minutes they needed while rolling out to an 8-point lead, but their high water turned into a tsunami against them. It came in the form of a 32-6 run by the hot-shooting Blue Demons that swung the game completely into a 91-70 DePaul victory.
A four-point play on a buzzer-beating 26-footer from Jalen Terry moments before halftime was an exclamation point in the middle of the surge UTEP never recovered from. When the momentum swung toward DePaul, UTEP couldn't stem the bleeding until that almost double-digit lead was an 18-point deficit.
