A standard maxim in any sport is that when a team wins big games, it gets more big games.
Such is the case with 3-1 UTEP, as once again it is preparing for the biggest game of coach Dana Dimel's tenure, its conference opener against Old Dominion.
Battling through adversity
The Miners set it up by beating New Mexico after falling behind by 10 in the first half, and Dimel pointed to the halftime locker room as a touchstone for his team as it moves forward.
"You couldn't script it any better with a win and how it played out," he said.
