For an expansion team like the El Paso Coyotes of the Major Arena Soccer League, the season opener Saturday in Dallas represents not just a fresh beginning, but also the end of the long process of giving birth to a franchise.
Now it's time for the Coyotes to show their work against the Sidekicks in the Allen Event Center. To kick that off, the team was rolled out Wednesday at its first media day.
"I'm very excited. There is a lot of adrenaline," co-owner Gil Cantu said. "Very, very nervous, but very happy. We're confident. We've been working for three months and we're hoping everything goes well.
