UTEP men prepare for Western Kentucky Wochit
For all of the UTEP men's basketball team's flaws, give it this: The Miners are utterly undaunted by their inability to make 3-pointers.
Statistically one of the worst teams in the country at that with a 28.6-percent conversion rate, they jacked up 27 of them in a 67-62 loss to Western Kentucky on Thursday night and sunk four of them.
That meant a bounce-back game on defense and making 21-of-34 two-point field-goals didn't matter much as the Miners fell to 13-13 after losing for the 12th time in 17 games.
