The El Paso Chihuahuas wrapped up an eight-game road trip from May 23 to May 30, and came out victorious five times. This was the team’s most wins during a road trip this season.
They will now return home for a four-game series against Salt Lake starting on Thursday, June 1, at Southwest University Park.
In the first series on the road against Salt Lake, the Chihuahuas were two innings away from a series sweep. The Bees, who had lost three straight games to the Chihuahuas, were down in the fourth game, 6-2, through eight innings.
However, the Chihuahuas could not complete the series sweep as they gave up six runs to the Bees in the bottom of the eighth inning, which resulted in a 8-6 loss to Salt Lake.
