The tale of a championship season from 50 years ago and the historic story of a team that changed the color of athletics in the southern United States will air at 10 a.m. MST Sunday on the CBS Sports Network.
"1966 Texas Western: Championship of Change," is the story of the historic run by that 1966 Miner team and the NCAA championship game when the Miners, starting five African-American players, took on the University of Kentucky, with an all-white lineup ... the first time five blacks had met five whites in the NCAA championship game.
Texas Western won that game 72-65 on March 19, 1966, in College Park, Md.
