The UTEP men's basketball team's loss to DePaul on Saturday in Chicago was a step back, its second in two games against Division I competition.
The good news was that in the aftermath of a 91-70 loss, coach Joe Golding didn't try to put a happy spin on it. He didn't try to argue up that the Miners could just toss out a nine-minute stretch where they were outscored 32-6 and claim a moral victory.
"We're struggling on the road," Golding said after his team fell to 0-3 away from the Don Haskins Center, with two of those losses troubling.
