The list of the 10 semifinalists for the Bowerman Award - NCAA track and field's equivalent of the Heisman Award - have El Paso ties.
UTEP freshman Emmanuel Korir became the seventh freshman to make the semifinals in the nine-year history of the award, while Burges alum and Florida junior Keandre Bates was another semifinalists.
The 10 semifinalists will be culled to three finalists on June 21.
