After a big week of college football, count the Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl as a winner.
With the Pac-12 deciding to resume play this fall with a seven-game schedule, the traditional ACC vs. Pac-12 matchup on New Year's Eve is back on.
"We got our contractual matchup back," Sun Bowl executive director Bernie Olivas said. "With the Pac-12 making the announcement they're going to play, we're back where we belong.
"Having both conferences makes me feel pretty good."
One difference in this strangest of years is that the Pac-12 team will likely have a 4-3 record, as there isn't going to be the normal six-win threshold for bowl eligibility.
