The UTEP men's basketball team's 79-66 loss to UAB on Thursday night can stand in for their season.
They won just about every stat that didn't involve putting the ball through the net, which unfortunately is a pivotal part of the game they just aren't good at.
As ever, UTEP fought and clawed and stayed in a game where they were outshot by 10 percentage points and were outscored 27-6 from the 3-point line. As is usually that case, that wasn't enough in Conference USA, as they fell to 12-14 overall and 5-10 in league. UAB cemented its hold on second and is 19-8, 10-6.
