Keitha Adams came to UTEP as one of Bob Stull's very first hires 16 years ago, and she leaves, it can safely be said, as one of his very best.
Adams accepted the job at Wichita State Wednesday night for the opportunity to coach 36 miles from her hometown of Oxford, Kan. where she is in that school's Hall of Fame, and left a large legacy and even larger shoes to fill at UTEP.
"She has done an absolutely unbelievable job," Stull said. "We hate to see her leave, but understand the desire to go home. We can't thank her enough for everything she has done for UTEP Athletics and the women's basketball program.
