Green Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones was suspended two games to start the 2018 season for violating the league’s substance abuse policy.
The former Miner standout had been involved in a traffic stop involving a marijuana citation last October.
He took it to Twitter to express his regret on the situation:
“I accept it, take responsibility for it, and regret the mistake that I made during the 2017 season which led to the punishment,” Jones said on Twitter. “I’ve let down my family, teammates, coaches, the Packers’ front office, Packers’ fans, UTEP, UTEP fans, and the communities of El Paso and Green Bay.
