But most of the Pac-12's providers don't actually offer the national network, which features 450 live events, on lower tiers, instead giving regional feeds to Pac-12 markets. So when the tournament games begin, many viewers will only be able to see games that involve their two local schools (for example, Pac-12 Mountain subscribers will see Utah and Colorado games, but not others).
Obviously, that's a problem for a conference that is already believed to be losing ground in television revenue to the SEC and Big 10. And the Pac-12 has been on the offensive this week, trying to convince subscribers to complain to providers and ask them to offer the national network in HD.
