SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah volleyball team fell in its home finale, falling 3-0 (25-17, 25-18, 25-19) to No. 2-ranked Washington Wednesday evening at the Huntsman Center.
The loss drops Utah to 10-20 overall on the season and 4-15 in Pac-12 play, while the Huskies improved to 27-2 and 17-2 in conference play.
The Huskies took the first set, 25-17, after out-hitting the Utes .242 to -.034 and recording 12 kills to Utah’s eight in the frame. Utah opened the frame matching the visiting squad point-for-point, but a 5-1 run pushed UW’s lead to 8-5 and the Huskies never trailed again.
