STANFORD, Calif. – Utah volleyball dropped a straight-set contest at No. 7 Stanford this evening, 25-19, 25-15, 25-18.
Adora Anae paced the Utes with nine kills and 14 digs as the Utes hit .043 for the contest. Kendall Cygan and Jessie Jorgensen tied for the team lead with 12 assists with the latter earning a double-double with 11 digs.
Utah was the aggressor in the first set, jumping out to a 9-4 lead and after a kill by Carly Trueman, the Cardinal were forced to call a timeout.
The lead grew to six before a three-point run by Stanford forced a Utah timeout at 16-13.
