SALT LAKE CITY – Utah sophomore Adora Anae set another career high with 26 kills, but it was not enough as Lipscomb downed the Utes in four sets (19-25, 30-28, 23-25, 23-25) in the final match of the 2015 Utah Classic Saturday evening at the Huntsman Center.
The Utes (2-1) bested the Bisons (3-0) in the a majority of the statistical categories, but service errors got the best of the home team and Utah’s home winning streak came to an end at eight straight games.
Anae’s 26 kills are not only a new career-high, but it also set a new school record for kills in four sets during the rally-scoring era and she was just one kill shy of tying the all-time mark.
