SALT LAKE CITY – After a tough defeat at New Mexico last Saturday, the Utah women’s tennis team bounced back to beat rival BYU 7-0 to claim victory in the Deseret First Duel on Wednesday in the Eccles Tennis Center. The competition was tough but the Utes were able to sweep the Cougars and protect the home court.
“I must say I was worried about this matchup as BYU is very good. We played our best match of the year and took advantage of our home court.” Utah head coach Mat Iandolo said. “I am very proud of our team.
