The No. 66 Utes won a tightly-contested match against No. 56 Minnesota in a neutral-site matchup by a 4-3 score. After dropping the doubles point, Utah was able to rally back and win four singles matches to claim victory.
“This was a very good team win in Big Ten [Conference] territory over a very experienced Gopher squad,” Utah head coach Mat Iandolo said.
The No. 3 doubles match was won by Minnesota, but the doubles count was quickly tied up by
Utah’s Margo Pletcher and Brianna Turley with a 6-4 win over Paula Rincon-Otero and Annemarie Emme.
