PULLMAN, Wash. - The Utes were not able to beat the Cougars on the road at Simmelink Tennis Courts as they dropped the decision 4-2 on Friday Mar. 18.
The Utes jumped out to a 1-0 lead as the doubles point was clinched by the teams of sophomore Margo Pletcher and freshmen Brianna Turley; and freshmen Taylor Calton and junior Luisa Gerstner Da Rosa.
The Cougars came back and took a 3-1 lead. The wins came through Trang Huynh over sophomore Jena Cheng 6-4, 6-4, Maria Biryukova over junior Sarah Richter 7-6 (7-5), 6-1, and Donika Bashota over Pletcher 6-3, 7-5.
