SALT LAKE CITY - Utah soccer dropped its Pac-12 opener on Friday evening to No. 8 Stanford, 4-1. The Utes took a lead into the second half courtesy of Katie Rogers, but the Cardinal scored twice in a minute to turn the game around.
"They came out with an aggressive stance and had five or six on the front line,” head coach Rich Manning said. "We didn't come out with enough energy in the second half as I would have liked and they broke through. They got one and the second took the air out of us a little.
