FORT WORTH, Texas -
Two future Ute gymnasts struck gold at the 2016 Junior Olympic National Championships May 7-8 in Fort Worth, Texas. Incoming freshmen Kim Tessen of Orem, Utah, and Missy Reinstadtler of Brick, N.J., tied for first place on the uneven bars in the Senior E division. In addition, Tessen placed second in the all-around and Reinstadtler placed third on beam and seventh in the all-around.
“Kim and Missy performed exceptionally well against the nation’s top Level 10 competition and showed what they will bring to our program this coming year,” said Utah co-coach Tom Farden, who attended the meet along with assistant Meredith Paulicivic.
