In addition to tying for second place at the 2016 Pac-12 Championship on Saturday, Utah picked up numerous individual awards, including three of the four Pac-12 annual gymnastics awards and four of the five individual titles at the championship.
By vote of the conference head coaches, Utah’s Sabrina Schwab was named the Pac-12 Freshman of the Year and senior Kassandra Lopez was chosen as the Pac-12 Specialist of the Year. Earlier, senior Breanna Hughes was honored as the Pac-12 Gymnastics Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
Three Utes captured four individual titles at the Pac-12 Championship, with Hughes winning the all-around (39.
