Utah gymnast Breanna Hughes was named the Pac-12 Specialist of the Week after scoring career highs on all three events she performed—winning two—in Utah’s 196.725-195.600 win over Southern Utah last Friday.
Hughes tied for first on bars with teammate Kassandra Lopez, scoring a 9.925, won vault with a 9.90 and placed second on floor with a 9.875. It was the second week in a row that Hughes set career highs on vault and floor, and her career-high 9.925 on bars helped Utah maintain its No. 1 national ranking on that event.
