SAN FRANCISCO – Utah redshirt sophomore post player Emily Potter has been named the Pac-12 Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week, the conference office announced Monday.
Potter averaged 26.0 points, 18.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game for the Utes against Creighton and at BYU last week. This was Potter’s first career Pac-12 Player of the Week award. She was named the conference’s Freshman of the Week on Dec. 16, 2013. Utah has now earned four Player of the Week nods since joining the Pac-12 in 2011-12.
“I’m extremely proud of Emily and the hard work she has put in over the last year to not only get healthy, but to be able to play at such a high level,” Utah Head Coach Lynne Roberts said.
